Workshop runs Monday 27th July to Sunday 2nd August, with performances at the end of the week.

You/your child must be available for the whole week, and must first attend the auditions day in April to be sure of a place.

You/your child is required to attend the auditions to be sure of a place at the Summer School.

Auditions will be informal and in groups for ensemble places, individually for principal parts.

Trowbridge Youth Theatre, nickelodeon the SpongeBob Musical, Youth Edition. Important information! Our audition day will be a workshop style. Children may audition for a principal character or to be a part of the ensemble. Auditions for the ensemble will take place from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Principal auditions may extend until as late as 4 p.m.. The fee for the audition will be 15 pounds per child. This must be paid in advance of the day via bank transfer, alongside a completed online registration form. If your child is successful, they may be needed for a small number of pre-rehearsals during June/July prior to the summer school in July. Our summer school dates are 27th July to 2nd August. The cost will be 150 pounds per child (100 pounds for siblings) which includes a show t-shirt, tote bag and 2 free tickets to a performance of your choice. This can be paid in instalments but must be paid in full before 20th July. A small deposit to secure your place must be paid by 23rd May.

About Trowbridge Youth Theatre (TYT)

TYT is the youth branch of Trowbridge Musical Theatre, formed in 2007 to give the youth and children of Trowbridge the chance to perform musical theatre. Here is what we offer:

We run a Summer School in August each year, where we rehearse and perform a youth show in just one week. We conduct auditions for the Summer School in advance, as places are limited.
Some of our company shows in May or October have a small number of parts for youth and children. We will audition for places, and then run rehearsals for those who are successful. Rehearsals take place on one or two evenings a week, for a three or four month period leading up to show week.

The age range we accept varies depending on the next show we have in production.

Please note that we do not run a regular theatre class or club.
